Jerry Douglas (2005 CMA musician of the year and Dobro player), Ron Block (the spiritual touchstone of AKUS, contributing
vocals, original songs, banjo and guitar) and Barry Bales (one of the most in-demand session player in bluegrass and acoustic
music). They have successfully crossed over to audiences in pop, country and beyond while maintaining their grassroots credibility.
Recent triumphs have included Krauss' performance at the 2004 Academy Awards, album sales of over 7 million and a steady
stream of Grammy Awards in a diverse array of categories.
