About The Series
SEASON 1
In 16 & Pregnant, they were moms-to-be. Now, follow Farrah, Maci, Amber, and Catelynn as they face the challenges
of their first year of motherhood. Each episode interweaves these stories revealing the wide variety of challenges young mothers
can face: marriage, relationships, family support, adoption, finances, graduating high school, starting college, getting a
job and the daunting and exciting step of moving out to create their own families.
SEASON 2
You met them when they were 16 & Pregnant, and in their first year as teen moms you saw them face the challenges
of motherhood before they had a chance to grow up themselves. In this next chapter, we continue to follow Maci, Farrah, Amber
and Catelynn as they navigate new and unexpected challenges. Each episode delves into their lives as they deal with all the
ups and downs of being teen moms -- including pregnancy scares, high school prom, family disputes, jail sentences, custody
battles, trying to finish high school, moving away from home for the first time, financial trouble, entering new relationships
and ending old ones -- all while struggling to remain teenagers.
SEASON 3
Teen Mom is a spin-off of the MTV documentary series, 16 & Pregnant. Season 3 continues tracking the stories
of Maci, Farrah, Amber and Catelynn as they face the intense challenges of their first few years of motherhood. Each episode
interweaves their stories as they navigate the bumpy terrain of adolescence, growing pains, and coming of age -- all while
facing the responsibility of being a young mother. The series offers a unique look into the wide variety of issues young mothers
can face: marriage, relationships, family support, or lack thereof, adoption, finances, rumors among the community, graduating
high school, starting college, getting (or losing) a job and the daunting and exciting step of moving out of the nest to create
their own families. Faced with incredibly adult responsibilities, these young moms struggle to pursue their childhood dreams
and are often forced to sacrifice their teenage years, their high school experience and their former ideas of what their lives
would be. But there is optimism among them. They have the dedication to make their lives work. Though nearly children themselves,
they have a drive to do as they see fit and try to provide the best for their babies.
