Kim Nunn
Kim was born in Mississippi. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and received a degree in Fine Art with a concentration in drawing. After college Kim moved to Nashville. She worked as a design consultant at a local interior shop. Here she found that home design was her true calling.
While working in the interior shop Kim also did portrait work, pursued her photography professionally, and expanded her design portfolio on projects from clients. She decided to open her own business called NEST. This allows Kim to combine all of her passions into one. Kim comes by her creativity honestly. Her father is an architect and her mom is a self diagnosed “week-end warrior.”
Kim’s latest creation is Olivia, her five-month-old daughter. She likes to spend her free time with her husband, Troy, Olivia, her friends, and her two dogs. Her interests include travel, theater, and music. Kim says that her designs are an eclectic mix of styles and periods. She feels that “in design, as in life, experience is the best teacher.”
Joe Parker
Joe was born in Chicago Heights, Ill., but moved to the Orlando area when he was a kid. He was among the few to complete the first four-year graduating class at Lois Cowles Harrison Center for the Visual and Performing Arts in Lakeland. There he majored in music and was the percussionist for the school’s Symphony, Pit, and Chamber Orchestras.
Joe is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he proudly served as an Airborne Infantryman with the elite 82d Airborne Division. Joe has a little brother who is currently serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq. Joe has a passion for horses and has worked at a local dinner theatre performing a variety of spectacular stunts and equestrian feats.
Although Joe is busy pursuing his career as an actor, he is skilled in the craft of carpentry. Joe learned the ins and outs of carpentry as he tooled along behind his father growing up. A union man himself, the senior Parker always encouraged the strong work ethic and pride in ones craftsmanship required to make it as a Journeyman Carpenter. Joe takes pride in his accomplishments and his work can be observed in such landmarks as The Hard Rock Hotel and Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, both in Orlando, Fla.
Nicole Hart
When Nicole Hart left her hometown of Nashville for Los Angeles in 1993 to pursue acting, she had no idea her pursuits would lead her back to Tennessee and on to CMT Ultimate Home 2.
In L.A., Nicole enrolled at the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse where she studied acting for two years before landing various roles in film and television. After marrying Emerson Hart of the rock band Tonic, they traded the fast pace of L.A. for the comforts of Nashville. It was here that she and her husband collaborated on the song "Generation" written for the NBC show "American Dreams" for which they received an ASCAP award. Nicole's interest in design was sparked by a year-long renovation she embarked on for her 1930's era home. She participated in every aspect of the design and worked closely with the architect on the project to create a classic and comfortable home while maintaining the architectural integrity of the house. Her hopes for her role on CMT Ultimate Home 2 is to bring fun and unusual ideas to the table and continue on a path that includes her newfound love of design.
"To me, design should be fun and geared toward themes and color schemes that make you feel comfortable and happy every time you walk in to a room. My home is a mix of antiques and contemporary furniture rich with color and soft comfortable fabrics. My crazy ideas on CMT's Ultimate Home are not exactly how I design in my private life, but the show gives me an opportunity to explore the hidden ideas that lie beneath, a forum that caters to the question "what if...?", which is fun for us and hopefully for viewers." - Nicole Hart
