Remind MeThe Fishers are a large and optimistic family of nine, with children ranging in age from 5-17. Any challenges this poses are
met by the family's committed teamwork and the hardnosed organization that parents, Rose Mary and Rick, have instilled. There
is no tolerance for slacking or disrespect. Everyone pitches in and is expected to address their parents with "yes sir/yes
ma'am" responses. Back talk or a bad attitude results in quick disciplinary action of having to do additional chores or running
around cones.
The family's resilience and unity was recently tested when the Nashville floods destroyed their first home. Faced with severe
financial and practical pressures, the Fishers refused to quit and confronted the disaster with fortitude and perseverance.
It literally forced them to turn life's lemons into lemonade. Every weekend they supplement their income by setting up a lemonade
stand at the local farmers market. The experience has given them a deeper appreciation for their familial bond.
For the next week, the Fishers take in two self-absorbed party girls who abuse the rules and put themselves in precarious
situations. Rose Mary and Rick plan to show Amber and Stephanie that their family's approach to life can help them, too. Both
girls soon show their stubborn sides, but will a week of Southern discomfort turn the teens around? Or will they stand their
ground and play it their way to the end?
