This Kansas native is a full-time songwriter who is married to his duet partner, Joey. They live in an old 1860's farmhouse about an hour south of Nashville. This overalls-wearing country music lover has had songs recorded by many country artists, including Blake Shelton's "Some Beach," Clay Walker's "Chain of Love" and many others. Rory credits his father for passing along his love of country music and says a life in the music industry was originally his father's dream, which he handed down to Rory at a young age. Rory is influenced by singers such as Don Williams, Merle Haggard and Jim Croce, and songwriters like Harlan Howard, Max D. Barnes, Gary Burr and Skip Ewing.
