I have seen brandi perform this song live and the video gives you a sense of how she is on stage her oice is so powerful and strong she does the song unplugged it's amazing. i love the video! hope cmt will add it to the top 20 page so we can vote for it.
Music is music. It takes a person who enjoys the message and how it is delivered for it to be good music. I could listen to it a few more times.
This is not country music and it really sucks.
Now this is a step in the right direction for CMT and coutry music, WELL DONE!!
its ok but I dont like it
Thanks for adding "Dying Day" to your playlist. It is a great video and I hope you will consider adding it to the CMT video lineup on TV. Thank you.
I am not surprised at her recognition by Nashville, saw her in a club in Tally, and you could walk right up and see her and the band!! Let me tell you, she is beyond description. Her voice rings out and she has so much fun, and you have a long hangover of her and her great band, the Twins, the drummer is unreal, Brandi rocks with soul. Oh,Oh,Oh,Oh can you believe the Indigo Girls played with Brandi, What a combo!!!
My song for the next week. Only 1 week until I'm home for good! God knows its been a long 4 years.
Oh my gosh. I was at this show, and I spotted myself three times in this video. *dies of excitement*
The first I ever heard Brandi was on a short-lived TV show called "Three Wishes" done by Amy Grant. Brandi was in the background at the end of the show softly singing "What Can I Say" from a stage setup for an after show concert. From those intermittent verses interspersed with Amys commentary I already loved her voice. I went straight to the computer and ordered the album. Amazing album. A few months later she came to San Diego for a concert at "The Belly Up Tavern" a small 300-400 seat venue, opening for Shawn Colvin. Sitting next to me was a couple from back east who came looking for something to do while on vacation. About half way through Brandi's set the wife happened to catch my eye. Her mouth was agape and she had a stunned look on her face. She blurted out "MY GOD!, She's incredible and I've never even heard of her!" Last summer we caught her again at "Anthology" with Gregory Alan Issacoff. Issacoff said he had never played with anyone who put as much heart and soul into a performance as Brandi. 110% every night. After doing a concert that visibly exhausted the band, she hung around and signed autographs and chatted with the fans for as long as they wanted. She is one of the nicest, most down to earth people I've ever met, and I've met a few ; I'm 60. If you have a chance to see her live and don't go you're a fool. She also does a great version of "Halleluea". Download it from her web site.
LOVE the video! Brandi Carlile is an awesome talent! If you ever get the chance to see her perform LIVE, you must take it! Her live performance will leave you with a sense of awe, an internal peace and simply amazed! In this day and age of electronically assisted artists, Brandi Carlile stands out as an Artist that needs NO electronic assistance during the recording process! Her voice is pure and magical, talent like hers does not come along often! The notes she hits and the emotion she evokes are even more amazing during a live performance! I am so glad that CMT is taking notice of this TALENT and I am ecstatic that she has been invited to the Grand Ole Opry. Can't wait for that performance and the announcement of the date, I would simply LOVE to be in attendance! Hopefully we will have enough advance notice! If you are not familiar with Brandi's work, you MUST make it a point to check out her other videos and music! Simply AWESOME
Brandi visited Reno, Nevada last week - what a fabulous show! Best I've seen in a very long time. I left full of joy and felt blessed to have seen her and the band in person. Please come back soon!
love the edit at 1:57-1:59. Whoever edited this video was very much into the details of the music matching the video, very nice.
Amazing song! Saw Brandi in Austin a couple a weeks ago and i'm still feeling the buzz from that amazing concernt. Brandi Carlile is the the MOST TALENTED, HARDEST WORKING, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, AWESOME PERFORMER! Her concerts are engaging. She REALLY makes you feel part of her show. I ALWAYS leave her shows completely UPLIFED! I just love how she makes me feel whenever I listen to her music, which is quite frequently. Brandi Carlile, I wish you much success and peace always! Lisa from Austin
Love this video! Brandi is one of the most amazing artist alive. If you have not seen her live you HAVE to put it on your MUST DO list!! Her voice in concert is angelic, amazing and chilling.
Love that the video resembles the live version of the song so much, when the music breaks and her voice rings through. They all do such an incredible version of this song live. Love that the video is able to capture at least a portion of it. Very nice, Brandi, Tim, Phil, Allison and Josh.
