On December 26 2008 I received an Email from my husband in Iraq and it said. I carved your name on a tree last night and the date 12-25-08 and it's my Christmas gift from me in Iraq to you back home. Every time I hear this song and watch the video it brings back so many memories. I've decided to get a tatto with my name carved on a tree in memory of my husband! And to Jason, thank you for this beautiful song!
LOVE IT SO TRUE

Fell in love with this song the first time I heard it! And even though I have two USMC sons and the video made me sad, I've decided to keep loving a song that captures so well the bitter/sweet emotion of growing up and leaving childhood behind. And thank you for honoring our Marine Corp. See you in Atlanta May 18th!!! Can't wait!!!!!!

This song and video makes me cry everytime....my boyfriend is now a MARINE and thinking about this just makes my heart hurt. We recently had a funeral for a marine in my hometown and it was just so amazing how the whole town came together to pay their respects. Semper Fi
