On December 26 2008 I received an Email from my husband in Iraq and it said. I carved your name on a tree last night and the date 12-25-08 and it's my Christmas gift from me in Iraq to you back home. Every time I hear this song and watch the video it brings back so many memories. I've decided to get a tatto with my name carved on a tree in memory of my husband! And even though I have two USMC sons and the video made me sad, I've decided to keep loving a song that captures so well the bitter/sweet emotion of growing up and leaving childhood behind.
