I would like to share a story about this song. As a black male I love southern rock and have been a long time fan of L.S. I had to the opportunity to see them live at Starwood in Nashville during their reunion tour after the plane crash. The ban had pretty much play the entire concert and was getting ready to play "Free Bird" when the lights went out. The power went in and out and finally the band left the stage. My best friend and me had left our seat and made it to the back wall on the hill facing the stage. We were planning to leave after "Free Bird" when the power went out. What happen next was so funny we still talk about it today. In the darkness’ a girl fired up a Styrofoam cup and one of the security guys who were now patrolling the areas told her to put it out. She put it out and then when the guy turned his head she lit it back up again. The Security guy rush her and tried to knock the cup out of her hand instead he close hanger her and knock here flat. This started a riot as everyone started fired up the cups and make barn fires on the lawn. My friend and I left out the back entrance and made our way around to Murfreesboro road where our car was and watch from the hill what seem like a full-blown riot. L.S. didn’t get the finish the song but they came back and put on an even better show. For those of you who were there the reason for the power outage was some drunk on Old Hickory Blvd near the mall hit a pole and knocked out the grid. Best show ever and didn’t mind the flags at all everyone was real nice to me. Just want to say that because some people think badly about southern rock. The south Till I Die!!!!
It doesn't get any better than this.
Southern rock at its very best. Awesome video and this is my personal song!!!!!!!!!!
This ones for a free bird I know. To say you will always be special to me!
This is real southern rock at its best. At times I would like to be free as a bird, and it seems I have my problems changing. Love this group and this song. i think I will call this my personal song.
