Arnel is decent but his accent still comes out at times and he sounds a bit weird at times on the higher notes. Journey without Steve Perry won't ever be the same, but that is more due to Steve Perry than anything else. The band is stil the same, with Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Vallory and Deen Castronovo...I can tell you I would rather listen to the current Journey than listen to a shot David Lee Roth and Van Halen. Did Arnel forget the words at 4:23? He skipped 4 lines. Hahaha....

No, this isn't the old Journey. A lot of bands don't have the same personnel as they did years ago, but at least Journey sounds like Journey! And Don't stop believin does not sound like Midnight Rider. Rascal Flatts is good, but they ain't Journey! Stick to Country guys. It's what you do best.
Absolutely amazing collaboration! Rascal Flatts and Journey: you couldn't have ended the CMT Music Awards any better than that. It's disappointing that Steve Perry wasn't there, but I LOVED IT!!! After watching this performance, I anticipate a CMT Crossroads (and maybe even a Rascal Flatts remix of this song); but as the song goes: don't stop believin'!

Anybody out there recognize how much this sounds like the Allman Brother's Midnight Rider with different words. I think some band owes another band some credits and money.
Love Rascal Flatts~but I grew up with Journey. And if it's not Steve Perry singing, it's not Journey.
Super collaboration between two powerful genres. They slayed it this time. More power to you Journey and Rascal Flatts. I wish Journey does the CMT Crossroads. This project could be a diamond in the making -- a platinum production. Carry on the great job!!!
This was the BEST performance of the night!!!!! Loved it!!!! Hope they do a CMT Crossroads together sometime.
