Blake I like you.. honestly...but the CMT Awards are now FIXED. There is no mathematical way that either Miranda or Blake could have won by fan vote since Carrie and Taylor both have MANY more fans who voted, which means either of them should have won over ML. Period. Also, the same goes for Blake winning tonight - both Keith and Jason have significantly more fans to win by a fan vote... Sony Music bought these 2 awards so they can sell more ML and BS records to boost there bottom line. Carrie should have won since her video broke all video records this year. Jason Aldean had the biggest male video of the year by are... this is wrong, this show is now officially rigged. I am sorry I have to be the one to tell everyone but it's the sad thruth.
Trust me, if there were only country music singers on the CMT Awards no one would watch it. And you do not have to have talent to be a country singer Sherman, you just have to be able to sing a song someone else more talented wrote, and say you love your mom and cornbread.
Thanks to CMT for eliminating one of the last safe havens of real Country music. Kudos also to Jason Aldean for participating in the platform to indiscriminately blur the lines between Country and the no-talent-required, mean-spirited recitals of Rap, strictly in the interest of gaining a bigger share of the viewers. Maybe next year y’all can save us some time and just broadcast the CMTV Awards Show.
I would enjoy the CMT awards so much better if "Kid Rock" was not on it. He is not, never will be country and is not an example for my grand kid. I thought country music was better than that. I guess i was wrong.
