my son was 8 when he told me he felt like killing himself. I put him in conseling right away. We have been thru sooo much. His dad was very abusive toward me. We had to leave quick and 400 miles from everyone and family. now that he is 12 He is doing Great.. I just want to tell parents make sure your kids are alright when you go thru things. Because they are too...
Hope we can help others who are like this
My brother took his own life on March 1st... I have no words to describe the feeling I have, we were a very close family, we were always there for one another no matter time or place if one of us needed something anything we would run to each others sides There is no answer as to WHY and I know that the WHY will? never be answered but yet I still keep asking it. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and bring my big brother back but I can't so RIP Big brother till we meet again I love you!
THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SONG. MAKES YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT SOMEONE MAY BE GOING THRU
Wish my husband could have heard this song
why ???????????
In April of this year my 22 year old son took his own life. This song is a huge part of how I feel. My life is so destroyed since he died and I just do my best to smile everyday but its not easy. When someone takes their own life they have no idea what they do to us.
I suffer from severe clinical depression, and there is nothing in this world that is worth me killing myself. I have two kids to live for, as well as myself. I keep telling myself that the worse life gets, the better it's going to be.
Seems like this might have been written for Amy Winehouse. In a way, she committed suicide. She certainly didn't have much of a will to live. I didn't care much for her music, but she was way too young to leave this world that way. :(
this is a sad song, but so true.Mental illness happens in all differant people. It can just be depression that can lead to this feeling! It's not aways teenagers, it's adults too! Some days a hug and a smile means alot!!
After 1 year of a stomach illness.I played this song for my 16 year old who is battling Major depression. He went from being an honor roll student to failing due to his illness that was causing him to miss school. He was an all star athlete, Quarter back in football, shooting guard in basketball, and a pitcher in baseball. He cried when he listened to it and so did I. He said mom this song reminds me of myself. I live in a small town and I am the home run hitter. After the song was done playing, he said mom I need help, I have a troubled soul like that song says, I don't want to live like this anymore. The brave soul he is went in for mental treatment. After the 2 weeks he was there I picked him up. He gave me a big hug and said thank you mom, My life is worth the fight!. Our long ride home he informed me that "he was going to end his life but that song just did something to his heart, he said "mom and I couldn't hurt you like that, I know you would cry and I don't like to see you cry". "I also have a lot of things I would like to do" "I feel it gave me some courage to ask for help". He is still recovering but each day is better. Rascal Flatts thank you! I feel your song helped save my son. I know it will save many others young and old. God bless you! Words do reach the soul.
I see teens thinking about killing themselves and i go and pull them out of it as i to was on that road too. This song is very powerful
This song says it all!! Teenage suicides are a MAJOR cause of death in ages 10-14. Just listen to these cries of help. Life is always worth living. Give hope.
life is always worth the fight
this song is really great because about a year ago my friend's best friend took his life because he felt like he had no one to talk to, when she heard this she had to leave school because she was crying too much and the next day she tried to take her life, but thankfully it was unsuccessful. so when she came back to school, I played this song for her to let her know that I was there for her and she could tell me anything and she never tried to take her life again.
Have you hugged your kids today and said I love you.Life to busy and the ones we need are so close.
i know personl how some of these things effect you and its really hard bc you feel like you cant talk to anyone but you can ppl are there to help you and its hard beenin a teen these days bc you feel like you are alone and noone cares bout you but they do so this reminds me of things like ppl do care and they will listin to you and you are not alone !!!! LOVE THE SONG !!!!!! :)
