CMT Giants: Alan Jackson
George, you did AJ proud.
This song is very touching the first time I heard it I cried. It really makes me goose nibbly. I love Alan Jackson.
Let us never forget.....Sept.11........
This song is a tribute to all those who lost their lives that day. God Bless you Alan
This song is an Anthem like Song, that is in the Library of Congress. Alan referred to this Song as "a simple song" but one that helped heal our shock of this horrible day, in our Beloved Country.. Strait did a good job of singing this one at Alan's Tribute , proving one can take a good Song and make it sound like their own.I'm sure Alan was honored to have his friend George, sing this that night. Thank You to Alan Jackson, for this Beautiful Song!
The day we stood in shock and cried for the lose of so many people, God Bless.
i never forget that day when we lost so many people that lose there lifes on September day on 9/11 when i saw it happen i cry my eyes out and i hug my mom and say i love u and i hug my friends around me and was thanking i am glad that i have you still and havent lost u its was the wrose day of my life to see that happen but i remeber having a talent show and play this song and have the flag right behind me while i was singing it
Alan should have sung this - he does it like no other. I remember that day ... my husband called me from work and said 'turn on the TV'. Got the kids out of school and we were all together for the day. It was horrible and I hope no one ever has to go through something like this again.
I can remember being with the love of my life (needless to say we're not together anymore) but my grandson I raised was in school and we rushed to school and took him out of school. Alan came out with this song at the perfect time and Bush let our country get to comfortable and laid back that fairenhight 911 dvd everyone should watch and thank GOD BUSH is out of there...Thanks Alan u deserve the top award for this song and the sissy song...
I was at work when I heard, I just sit down and cried for all those people that lost their lives, and the families that lost loved ones it hit home close we had a family member that was suppose to go there that day , but decided to do something different that day and was going to go to the towers the next day. So yes this effected me and alot of people alot.
I love this song. I have it in karaoke and when I sing I still get a little choked up. MY AJ song.
this song gets me every time it is so hard to listen to it without crying.
