I was speaking to Steve’s music from his Mercury days forward – not what he played prior. You and I don’t define “pop” sound the same – I wouldn’t put him the same category as Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Duran Duran – acts I consider pop. I consider Steve’s sound to be Blues/Rock.
Biebemax, It seems you have either not been following Steve very long or have a short memory. 20 years ago, all he played was rock and pop at bars like Chevy's in Indianola Mississippi. I am sure there is still an ounce or two in him.
