I guess no one here has seen the tie-in to the original Grease?? She is Sandra Dee (Olivia Newton John) and he is the male counterpart played by John Travolta...throughout the movie she is this innocent girl and then at the end she dresses up in that black racy outfit to show she can be a "bad" girl too - Megan pulls this off to a tee - and LOVE this song!! One of my new favorites :)
The reason for the way Megan is dressed is strategic. There is a degree of attention that is due to Megan in this presentation. So in a non chelaunt way, they dress her this way to get this attention. They also want to show Megans beauty as they will, in some point in the future be putting more attention on her...even though Steel Magnolia is a duo. Josh will get his due of attention as well. I already know of a few ladies who think of Josh as a heart throb. Hope you are able to follow what I'm saying.
LOVE this song and video. Just listened to this 5 times on myspace before I found the video here. Voted on top 20 for it. Only thing, I dont get why they put Meg in that getup in the video when everyone else was still casual. Anyway. always been big fan of them.
