Toby Keith has been in the fight of his life for the last two years, as he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 2021.

However, the tumor didn't halt his music releases. On Thursday, Keith revealed his next studio album, "100% Songwriter," will be available on Nov. 3 through Mercury Nashville/UMe on vinyl and via DSPs

The 13-song collection is a compilation of songs that Keith wrote entirely alone. The album includes his first chart-topper, "Should've Been A Cowboy," which launched a list of 52 Top 10 hits and 32 No. 1 songs. Other beloved hits on the album include "He Ain't Worth Missin'," "Wish I Didn't Know Now" and "Who's That Man?."

While Keith is a celebrated singer and performer, he's also been recognized by some of the music world's most respected organizations for his songwriting.

In addition to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Oklahoman is in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, received the National Medal of Arts and was named a BMI Icon.

Because of his cancer, Keith has been off tour for much of the last two years, but a press statement announcing the album said he is "working his way back into performing shape." Keith recently played two concerts hometown pop-up concerts that lasted for more than two hours each.

In June, Keith told "The Oklahoman" that he wants to tour again by the end of the year if he has enough energy to play a whole show.

"All I gotta do is see if I can get through two or three nights of work and get a little break in this chemo, and we'll go back to work," he said.

The singer explained he's still undergoing chemotherapy for his stomach cancer, feels better, his blood tests have been improving, and his tumor has shrunk by one-third.

"I'm about another eight weeks from my last scan," he said. "So I expect next time I look for that tumor to be even less — and I've only got one that's shown up."

The "Beer For My Horses" singer received his stomach cancer diagnosis in the fall of 2021.

In June of 2022, he said: "I've spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover, and relax."
