Watch: Jelly Roll Previews Emotional New Documentary, Shares "Whitsitt Chapel" Tracklist

Jelly Roll: "The biggest demon in my life is my mental health. Music was my Hail Mary. I feel like I owe it to my people to give them hope."

Jelly Roll came out of jail with a plan. He was going to put every drop of energy he had into music.

"It was almost like something just clicked," he says in his new documentary, "Jelly Roll: Save Me." "I came home and jumped out of the window with no parachute."

Jelly Roll is gearing up for the May 30 release of his documentary "Jelly Roll: Save Me" on Hulu and the June 2 release of his debut country project "Whitsitt Chapel." The Antioch, Tennessee, native shared the track listing for "Whitsitt Chapel" and a trailer for "Jelly Roll: Save Me."

"You can change," Jelly Roll said in the clip. "You can turn this around. They said (I was) too fat to be in the music business. They said my voice wasn't cool enough. These are all mountains we had to conquer."

Later he explained: "The biggest demon in my life is my mental health. Music was my Hail Mary. I feel like I owe it to my people to give them hope. If I wasn't a musician, I'd be dead. Who'd of thought I could help people?"

His "Whitsitt Chapel" tracklist reveals that Nashville's country music community stepped up to help Jelly Roll. The 13-song list shows that Jelly Roll co-wrote every song on the album, some with country music's biggest stars.

He penned "The Lost" alongside Miranda Lambert and Jesse Frasure. He wrote "Unlive" with Ashley McBryde, Andrew Baylis, Zach Crowell and Michael Wayne Atha. Jelly Roll crafted "Church" with HARDY and David Garci. Brantley Gilbert and Struggle Jennings joined him on "Behind Bars," and Lainey Wilson recorded "Save Me" with him.

Jelly Roll started teasing the album named after his childhood church in March when he posted multiple photos of the Whitsitt Chapel church sign featuring lyrics from his songs.

"This album is about growth and gratitude happening in my life," he said. "I wanted to create a project that felt hopeful. I believe the worst feeling a person can have is feeling hopeless or worthless. This is therapeutic music. Real music for real people with real problems."
