Dan + Shay have been open about their struggle through the pandemic and then the uncertainty surrounding the future of the duo at the end of their last tour. Their vulnerability in sharing their obstacles – and rebuilding process – makes Thursday’s 2024 arena tour announcement feel as much like a victory lap as it does what they called it: 2024 The Heartbreak On The Map Tour.

“We just got to this place where Dan and I had no plans on making an album,” Shay Mooney told Apple. “We both got off the road and were just really crispy. We were just burnt. Just like, ‘Man, that wasn't as fun as it should have been.’ We were just so tired going on and on and on and on doing all these incredible things and reach all these goals, but it was just so much had built up over time and little things over time and you just resent what you have to do. You're around the same people all the time, so you're all just like, ‘I've been with these people forever.’”

With those days behind them and with a new album out tomorrow -  Dan + Shay’s fifth studio album, Bigger Houses – the friends are ready to hit the road again.

Live Nation will produce the trek, which will launch February 29, 2024, in Greenville, SC and include stops in Austin, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Nashville and more before ending in Boston, MA at TD Garden in April. Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters will provide tour support.
