Chris Lane and his wife, Lauren Bushnell have officially been parents of two for an entire week. 

“The Bachelor” alum turned to social media over the weekend (Oct.22) to reveal the name of their second son and to share her jaw-dropping birth story. The Instagram carousel included precious photos of their bundle of joy, a father-son moment, and their oldest [Dutton Walker] taking his big brother role seriously. 

Bushnell and the “Hold You Tonight” singer named their newest addition – Baker Weston Lane. 

They welcomed the little one into the world on Saturday, Oct. 16, in Nashville, Tennessee. Following the birth, they announced the good news with a heartwarming video and snapshots from the hospital. 

Bushnell recently declared that she went into labor early, and it was far from a smooth experience. 

“Our little man surprised us 9 days early, late Sunday night,” she shared. “Still laughing thinking about my water breaking (very aggressive, more like situation) driving myself to the hospital in Chris’ truck (pantsless btw) because my car was out of gas and Dutton was sleeping,” Bushnell pointed out. 

Despite the craziness leading up to the delivery, she mentioned that her worries suddenly disappeared when she laid eyes on her newborn. 

“Very chaotic, unplanned and panicked but the minute he came into this world he’s been nothing but peaceful and perfect,” said the resilient mother. “We love you Baker, welcome to the 🌏”

Bushnell underwent a C-section. The decision was not decided last minute, as Baker Weston refused to turn during her last few weeks of pregnancy. 

The hitmaker also leaked a photo of their family leaving the hospital. Baker was strapped tightly into his car seat peacefully sleeping, as Lane carried his wife’s overnight duffle bag. The baby was swaddled in a cartoon-themed blanket and was sporting a teeny knitted beanie. 

Within the caption, Lane thanked his devoted community for the well-wishes and prayers. 

“Baker surprised us 9 days early! Glad to be home and resting up thanks for all the prayers and love for our fam,” he wrote. 

Notable names like Jay DeMarcus from Rascal Flatts, Drew Scott, and professional hockey player Patty Maroon flocked to the comments with sweet congratulatory messages.
