OFFSTAGE: Dramamine Stops Hillary Scott's Stage From Spinning

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

I've heard of artists doing shots of whiskey before shows. Or sharing a jar of moonshine. But Dramamine? That's a first. But Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott admits she needed to take one before they hit the stage at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo this past weekend. In the band's first Webisode Wednesday of 2011, they show some backstage clips from the rodeo (Charles Kelley even points out some blood on the floor, so you know it's a hardcore rodeo), and then Scott and Dave Haywood talk about the dizzying stage. "The stage here in San Antonio? It moves. It just kind of slowly rotates the whole time," Scott says. "I'm not gonna lie. I have to take a Dramamine before I'm onstage because it's little bit of a head trip." Whatever it takes to stop the motion sickness before it stops you. God love her for having that sort of the-show-must-go-on mentality.
