'Nashville Star' Will Also Air on CMT

CMT has entered into an agreement with NBC to re-broadcast episodes of the sixth season of Nashville Star. The music competition series will premiere on NBC on June 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT and then be re-telecast on CMT, beginning June 14 at 4 p.m. ET/PT. Nashville Star begins its regularly scheduled timeslot on CMT on June 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Billy Ray Cyrus will host the show. Singer-songwriters John Rich (of Big & Rich), Jewel and Jeffrey Steele will serve as judges and mentors. The winner will receive a major recording contract with Warner Bros. Nashville and an opportunity to sing at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
