Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" Gets the 'Pitch Perfect' Treatment
Her Song Is Featured in the New Musical Comedy
If you were watching the Super Bowl Sunday night (Feb. 1), you may have a heard a familiar country tune during one of the commercial breaks. In the new 30-second trailer for the upcoming musical comedy Pitch Perfect 2, star Anna Kendrick can be seen giving her own rendition of Carrie Underwood’s hit breakup anthem “Before He Cheats.”
The scene appears to be from the film’s “riff off” battle where opposing choirs challenge one another to a musical showdown. The trailer also features members of the Green Bay Packers singing the Destiny’s Child hit “Bootylicious.”
Will any other country songs make it into the film’s final cut? We’ll get our answer when Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters on May 15.
