Hank Williams Jr., Zach Bryan, Ryan Bingham and More Set to Headline Under The Big Sky Music, Rodeo and Roundup Festival

The festival is set for July 14th - 16th, 2023, in Whitefish, Montana

It's not even Christmas yet, but music fans are already planning their summer vacation.

Tuesday Outriders Presents revealed Hank Williams Jr., Zach Bryan, Ryan Bingham, Nikki Lane and Elle King were among the headliners of the Under The Big Sky Music, Rodeo, and Roundup Festival that is set for July 14th - 16th, 2023, in Whitefish, Montana. The sweeping ranch is flanked by majestic mountains in the heart of cowboy country and offers a rodeo between sets. The event blends various genres, including alternative and outlaw country, folk, bluegrass, Americana, and rock, to create a unique musical experience. In addition to the headliners, the bill includes emerging artists Radio Ranch, Izaak Opatz, War Pony, The Helnore Highwater Band and Jamie Wyma, and Idaho's Colby Acuff and "Yellowstone" star Luke Grimes.

Grimes, Caamp, Colter Wall, Drayton Farley and Archertown will anchor the first night.

In 2022, Under the Big Sky Festival attracted 20,000 music fans to the Big Mountain Ranch near the tiny town 60 miles from the Canadian border. In addition to music and the rodeo, there were an assortment of vendors that ranged from crafts to tattoos. A wide variety of elevated festival food was also available.

"The core of this has always been Americana, red dirt, independent country," said festival founder Johnny Shockey, who owns the 400-acre working ranch. "That's always been the dream. I think it speaks well to the Pacific Northwest and the people here that they know the culture of who we are and all the things we do here. It's surreal to see this whole thing come to fruition."

The festival grounds are located minutes from downtown Whitefish, which is home to cute shops, decadent down-home cooking, and architecture that looks like it could be the set from a cowboy movie. It's also easy driving distance from picturesque lakes and national parks.

"This is a homestead that has been in a family besides mine for hundred-plus years," Shockey said. "You want to do what you can to salvage these places that could be sold for a golf course and resort. I just wanted to be generational for my kids too."

Under The Big Sky is an all-ages festival. General admission and VIP tickets go on sale Friday, December 9 at noon MT, with two or three day passes available for purchase. For tickets and further information, visit: https://www.underthebigskyfest.com/
