In celebration of Reba McEntire’s new album, Love Somebody, CMT is turning over its screens beginning April 18 for “CMT We Love Reba Takeover Weekend.”

The weekend will include the CMT premiere of the Reba and Friends Outnumber Hunger concert event, a special edition of CMT Hot 20 Countdown co-hosted by Reba, new interviews on CMT Radio and music video blocks across CMT and CMT Pure hosted by Reba. Additionally, a marathon of her hit series, Reba, will air on CMT, and special episodes of the popular sitcom will be available on CMT VOD.

Mashable first broke the news late Wednesday (April 8).

“I love that CMT invited me to ‘take over’ the network for the weekend,” she said. “It’s going to be fun! I can’t wait to share stories about Love Somebody and walk down memory lane a bit. I hope fans enjoy seeing some of my favorite career moments and even some of the questionable fashion choices.”

CMT will present Reba and Friends Outnumber Hunger, a one-hour special concert on April 18 at 12 p.m. ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. The event will feature music from Reba’s new album and performances from other BMLG artists including Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, the Eli Young Band and Maddie & Tae. and CMT.com. An encore airing is scheduled for April 19 at 8 a.m. ET/PT.

Serving as the face of the 2015 Outnumber Hunger campaign, Reba will help raise awareness of the 49 million individuals struggling with hunger in America. For more on the initiative, visit www.OutnumberHunger.com or www.OutnumberHunger.CMT.com.

Reba will join Cody Alan as co-host for CMT Hot 20 Countdown airing April 18-19 at 9 a.m. ET/PT when she will look back at some of her biggest videos and best wardrobes.

Throughout the weekend, both CMT and CMT Pure will air Reba’s entire video catalog including “Fancy,” “Consider Me Gone” and her current smash “Going Out Like That.”

The marathon of her best-loved episodes from Reba will also air April 18 from 1-8 p.m. ET. Reba will rank her Top 10 quotes from the show on Facebook and via @CMT on Twitter.

Love Somebody, Reba’s 27th studio album, will be released Tuesday (April 14) by Nash Icon Records.
