There’s a lot of love and church between friends Maren Morris and Hozier, who headline tonight’s installment of “CMT Crossroads.”

“CMT Crossroads: Hozier & Maren Morris” was filmed in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena last month and will premiere on the network 10p/9c tonight, with an immediate encore at 11p/10c.

The show will also air 12p/11c on Saturday, September 23. “CMT Crossroads: Hozier & Maren Morris” will go live on CMT.com, CMT VOD, and the MTV app (CMT Crossroads), with subsequent premieres on CMT MUSIC and MTV LIVE.

Morris is known for her hit “My Church” and Hozier for his “Take Me To Church.” The pair collaborated on her song “The Bones,” and they sing those and more on “CMT Crossroads: Hozier & Maren Morris.”

“Getting to share songs with Maren Morris for ‘CMT Crossroads’ was a uniquely rewarding and fun experience,” Hozier said. “I’ve often felt a great deal of kinship between her work and my own. Getting to explore that and work alongside someone so outrageously talented was a joy. There were moments on that stage that I got to be a musician, a performer, collaborator, and an audience member to Maren’s beautiful new music all at once.”

Hozier and Morris’ creative relationship dates to 2019 when they dueted on Morris’ hit “The Bones.” “CMT Crossroads: Hozier & Maren Morris” additionally includes the pair on Morris’ “Girl,” and her new emotional single, “The Tree.” Morris joins Hozier on his songs “Take Me to Church,” “Work Song,” and two releases from his latest album, “Eat Your Young” and “All Things End.”

 “Hozier is such a necessary artist to these times,” she said. “He meets every moment with tenderness, clever wit, and a strong moral stance for what is right. I’ve loved becoming friends with him over the years, and I truly consider him to be one of the best of our generation. It was so much fun to collaborate again.”
