Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" Named Top Video of the Decade by Fans
Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" has been named the top video of the decade in an online poll of fans at CMT.com. The results were announced Friday (Jan. 29).
Rounding out the Top 5 in the survey are Trace Adkins' "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," Toby Keith's "How Do You Like Me Now?!" Sugarland's "Stay" and Kid Rock's "All Summer Long."
Other titles in the Top 10 include Brad Paisley's collaboration with Alison Krauss on "Whiskey Lullaby," Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying," Taylor Swift's "Love Story," Miranda Lambert's "Kerosene" and Rascal Flatts' "What Hurts The Most."
Fans were presented with a list of the top 50 videos from the past decade and were then asked to rank their favorites via online voting at CMT.com. The list of contenders was based on video viewing, including CMT's Top 20 Countdown airplay and viewer voting, airplay during CMT music video hours and on CMT Pure, viewing of on-demand videos, streaming onCMT.com and views on CMT Mobile.
Underwood's explosive video for "Before He Cheats" was directed by Roman White. Their professional partnership includes "Just a Dream," which also made CMT's Top 50 list, along with "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Don't Forget to Remember Me," "Last Name," "All-American Girl," "Wasted" and "So Small."
Unfortunately, several of the videos are not currently available for streaming on CMT.com due to rights and clearances issues but are included on the list because of their enduring popularity.
