Tim McGraw Releases Surprise Six-Song EP “Poet’s Resumé”
Tim McGraw fans just thought they were celebrating Thanksgiving with a turkey dinner. Now they can enjoy the holiday with new music from Tim McGraw.
McGraw surprised followers Monday night with an unannounced drop of his new six-song EP “Poet’s Resumé.”
“In the spirit of being thankful, I’m so grateful for all of you and the ways you have supported me, my family and my music thru the years,” McGraw wrote on Instagram. “Here’s a little surprise drop of a few songs you’ve never heard. Enjoy!”
McGraw also released a lyric video to go with the EP’s focus track “Runnin’ Outta Love.”
The new music coincides with his latest No. 1 song, “Standing Room Only,” which he nabbed this week. The song is the title track from McGraw’s recent full-length album that came out in August. “Standing Room Only” is his 17th studio album and the song is his 47th chart-topper.
McGraw and his longtime producer Byron Gallimore coproduced “Poet’s Resumé,” which includes songs written by the singer’s favorite writers, including Lori McKenna, The Warren Brothers, Tom Douglas and more.
