Taylor Swift is in Singapore right now, on the verge of kicking off her Speak Now tour. Her last tweet said so. "We're in beautiful Singapore! Just went exploring. Now it's time for room service and a Friends marathon," she wrote. But you know where else she is? At the White Cube gallery in London. Technically, it's not her. But it sure looks like her. Painter Richard Phillips showcased his Most Wanted exhibition a couple of weeks ago, and so the large-scale oil painting of Swift and other celebs like Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Momsen, Dakota Fanning, Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Timberlake and more are adorning on the walls. The gallery site says that Phillips uses luminous colors and meticulous detail and that the halo around the stars emphasizes "the electric stardom of these secular deities while simultaneously flattening their image." I don't know if I agree with the deity part, but I do think these paintings are as glamorous as they are gigantic. I know there's that whole "if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it" rule of thumb, but I'd love to know what it would take to bring one of these paintings home.
