Martina McBride Empties Her Purse
The upcoming album Everlasting isn't the only thing eternal and timeless about Martina McBride. Her beauty is everlasting, too.
Does she age? Does she ever have bad hair days or days where she feels like she can't keep it all together? From all appearances, that seems rather unlikely. Have you seen photos of her lately? She always looks sensational and chic and sounds better than ever.
So how does she do it? Well, the mom of three recently emptied the contents of her purse to the editors of Us Weekly magazine and clued us in on a few of her must-have items she's never without, ranging from seashells from her vacation to the Bahamas with her family to hair products and even peanut M&Ms.
Peanut M&Ms as a must-have? God, I love that woman.
Along with that sugar fix, the singer is never without Grether's Pastilles lozenges, her secret vocal fix. She says "they're wonderful for my voice" and admits she "chews them like candy before a show or going to the studio. I'm kind of addicted."
Of course, a working woman and mama constantly on the run can't forget a stash of Advil, Zicam, a nighttime sleep aid and a toothbrush and toothpaste. All were included in her Betsey Johnson tote, too.
She also has a "ton of gift cards" floating around, noting that for Christmas, her hubby John gifted her with a few including Sephora, Barnes & Noble and Escape Spa in Nashville. She also acknowledged the spare change and checks she admitted she needed to cash, revealing, "You can tell I'm highly disorganized."
But enough about that, let's get to the good stuff: the beauty goods.
McBride swears by the Oribe Dry Texture Spray to maintain some serious height before locking it all in with Sebastian's Shaper hairspray.
She admits her 15-year-old daughter Emma "always borrows my L'Oreal Voluminous mascara" and says her middle daughter is superb when it comes to applying makeup.
The magazine didn't specifically list a few other items I spotted in the photo, but the beauty junkie in my heart thinks I might have a few educated guesses in case I want to shop like McBride.
Everlasting, McBride's a collection of pop and R&B covers, will be released Tuesday (April 8).
