Shania Twain Sets The Record Straight And Announces 2023 Show With Big Names

Shania Twain teases new music coming this Friday, Oct. 28.

Shania Twain has set the record straight.

On the heels of the “Let’s Go!” Las Vegas residency, the country icon has had her hands in several different projects – leaving fans to speculate her next move. Twain turned to social media Monday (Oct. 24) afternoon to place rumors to rest and to announce a one-night-only show.

“There’s been a few rumors in the press about what’s coming next from me – It’s been fun to watch 😂,” she wrote. “Well, I am here to officially confirm ONE of those rumors…NASHVILLE, won’t you wake up dreaming with me, @kelseaballerini and @breland.”

The highly anticipated concert is slated to take place in Geodis Park in Nashville, TN, on June 7, 2023. Country music enthusiasts were pleasantly pleased with the news and jumped to the comments to express their excitement.

“WILL BE THERE!! Couldn’t be a better lineup,” said a follower. “Take my money,” added another.

The top-selling female country star has yet to confirm ticket prices, but revealed that they would be available for purchase Friday, Oct. 28. The star-studded lineup featuring Kelsea Ballerini and breakout star BRELAND, does not come as a surprise.

The country-pop sensation recently paid tribute to Twain at the ACM Honors, where she performed a jaw-dropping rendition of “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.” The legend received the ACM Poet’s Award the same evening and delivered an inspiring speech.

Meanwhile, BRELAND has conveyed his love and respect for Twain in his upbeat anthem “Natural.” The feel-good track lives on his critically acclaimed album “Cross Country” and serves as a friendly nod to the hitmaker.

The genre-bending artist revealed that opening for Twain is one of his most significant achievements thus far.

“I’m emotional. Y’all saw it here first, and now I’m opening for Shania Twain in June 7th,” he shared. “One of the proudest moments of my career. Thank you for the opportunity, @shaniatwain,” BRELAND added on his Instagram story.

It’s been nearly five years since Twain brought her talents to Music City, and the state-of-the-art performance will mark the first concert at the new venue – the largest soccer-specific stadium in the country.

“Soooo maybe I got a little over-excited and leaked my own Nashville announcement, “ the songstress declared. “It’s been too long…five years almost! I couldn’t keep it in any longer! I’m so honored to be the first concert to take place at @GEODISPARK!”

While shutting down old gossip, she spilled the tea and teased new music.

“I can FINALLY share a lot of exciting things this week!! Today, I’m waking up dreaming. But come Friday?... 👀 🎶 🎤,” Twain hinted.

The forthcoming track will follow her playful banger “Waking Up Dreaming.” The up-tempo melody serves as Twain’s debut single with Republic Nashville and a preview to her upcoming album. She classified the project as “very chirpy,” “very frank,” and an overall “happy album.” Until the powerhouse solidifies a release date for the collection, listeners can catch her on ABC’s live “Beauty And The Beast” on Dec. 17.
