Chris Stapleton is ill and must reschedule his concerts this weekend.

Stapleton said on Instagram Wednesday that he has bronchitis and laryngitis and is on doctor-ordered vocal rest through the weekend “in order to heal.”

The shows impacted are in Corpus Christi, Texas, Lafayette, Louisiana and Houston, Texas.

“I am very sorry to let you all know that I am unable to perform this weekend’s shows,” Stapleton wrote. “I’m grateful for your patience and understanding and hope to see you all in November.”

The concerts were rescheduled for: Layfayette, Nov. 16; Houston, Nov. 17 and Corpus Christi, Nov. 18.

All tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates.

While Stapleton is in the midst of his own tour that will reconvene in San Antonio on Oct. 19, next year he’ll again share headlining status with King of Country Music George Strait.

Strait and Stapleton revealed their 2024 nine-date stadium tour plans with special guests Little Big Town.

The beloved singers will play stadiums in Indianapolis, Ind.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Ames, Iowa; Charlotte, N.C.; East Rutherford, N.J.; Salt Lake City, Utah; Detroit, Mich.; and Chicago, Ill. Strait will then expand his longstanding Strait to Vegas show in December at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to commemorate the 37th installment of the show.

“I’ve always said we have the best fans in the world, and to see so many of them show up for these shows just makes us want to keep bringing them more,” shares Strait. “I’ve also missed performing in Las Vegas during NFR, so I’m happy to see that show come together in 2024. See you soon!”
