CMA Music Festival: Things You Might Have Missed

From Comical to the Serious, the Stories Keep Coming

The 2015 CMA Music Festival was filled with big moments and small moments, comical moments and serious moments.

Here are a few of the things you might have missed during this year's festival:

Verbal Jabs at LP Field

Two cases in point are courtesy of Brad Paisley. After making a comment about longtime friend Keith Urban’s new haircut ...

Urban presented an international award to Paisley and reminded his friend that he is from an area farther south than most country musicians -- Australia.

Memorable Collaborations at LP Field

There was something old … with Little Big Town and the Oak Ridge Boys teaming up for a spirited performance of “Elvira.”

And something much newer … with Eric Church joining Keith Urban singing “Raise ‘Em Up” together

Kellie Pickler Honored

The parents of the late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle presented the star of CMT’s upcoming series I Love Kellie Pickler with the first-ever Operation Troop Aid Chris Kyle Patriot Award in recognition of performing for U.S. troops during eight USO tours.

Pop-Up Performances

Fans got surprises Friday with Hunter Hayes showing up for a surprise performance at Acme Feed & Seed …

And Brett Eldredge greeting fans and doing a little karaoke at the Bud Light House of Whatever.

Feats of Physical Endurance

Surviving the Middle Tennessee heat and humidity was already an ambitious endeavor for those attending the festival, but CMT’s Cody Alan went above the call of duty by accepting the Broken Skull Challenge in Fan Fair X.
