CMT Next Up Now: Scoot Teasley Sings About Moving On In "This Truck Still Misses You"

Scoot Teasley: "The video and the song have a lot of moments in it that are fueled by emotions, and I hope that gets translated and accepted well."

Toccoa, Georgia singer/songwriter and country artist Scoot Teasley sings about trying to move on from a broken relationship in his song "This Truck Still Misses You."

Teasley, a Next Up Now artist on CMT, wrote the song with Jon Stark and Mason Thornley. Chris Utley produced the track, and Randy Schaffer produced and directed the video, which Teasley said "brings everything together."

"The visuals allow me to show the emotions of the song, which I love," the singer said.

On the day of the video shoot, Teasley said filming was delayed a few minutes, and in the meantime, it started raining. Instead of being upset by the weather, the singer found it only amplified the mood he wanted to create in the clip.

"The timing worked out, and it turned out perfect," he said. "That really made the video better than I could've imagined."

He hopes viewers can see and feel the raw emotions of "This Truck Still Misses You."

"The video and the song have a lot of moments in it that are fueled by emotions, and I hope that gets translated and accepted well," he said.

The first time Teasley watched the video, he said he "fell in love with it."

"I continued to watch it two more times, just to pick up all the little stuff and live with it," he said. "I think it visualizes the song perfectly."
