New Single: Lady Antebellum's "Long Stretch of Love"

"Bold, Upbeat and Fresh," Says Hillary Scott

Lady Antebellum have announced "Long Stretch of Love" as their latest single. Listen here:

Written by the trio's Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood along with songwriter Josh Kear, the band says the track captures their current sound and point of view.

"'Long Stretch Of Love' sounds like we feel right now … it's bold, upbeat and fresh," says Scott. "It's the perfect song to go into a new tour with … in fact, we should kick our set off with it every night!"

The band finished up the European leg of their Wheels Up 2015 tour with a show at London's O2 Arena on Sunday (March 8), and say the song is already a big part of their live shows.

In a video posted on the band's website, the trio gave some more insight into the pumping, harmony-laden track.

"It makes you want to jump out of your seat live because it has this freight-train-coming-at-you feel," says Haywood.

"I feel like that song is kind of our hearts' cry as a band, too, of just wanting to be here and continue to build a career that's gonna be around for decades," adds Scott.

"And it's not been all peaches and cream," Kelley concludes. "We have had our spats, had our ups and downs as a band, but it's like we all know ... we ain't going anywhere. It's a long stretch."
