'CMT Crossroads: John Mellencamp and Darius Rucker' Premieres March 24

Catch a Sneak Peek of Their Performance of Mellencamp's "Pink Houses"

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member John Mellencamp will team with Darius Rucker for a new episode of CMT Crossroads premiering March 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.

Taped in front of a live audience at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Feb. 24, CMT Crossroads: John Mellencamp and Darius Rucker will feature collaborations from their extensive song catalogs, including Mellencamp's "Pink Houses," "Cherry Bomb" and his new single, "Grandview."

They'll also perform Rucker's "Alright," "Wagon Wheel" and "If I Told You," along with "Hold My Hand," one of Rucker's hits from his tenure in Hootie & the Blowfish.

In addition to Mellencamp's status as a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy winner's 35-year career includes honors such as the John Steinbeck Award, ASCAP Foundation's Champion Award, the Woody Guthrie Award, the Americana Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award and. more recently, ASCAP's Founders Award. In 1985, Mellencamp, together with Willie Nelson and Neil Young, created Farm Aid, the concert series and organization that has addressed the struggle of American family farmers for more than 25 years.

Mellencamp's upcoming album, Sad Clowns & Hillbillies, featuring Carlene Carter, will be released on April 28.

Rucker came to international prominence as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the Grammy-winning Hootie & the Blowfish. Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, he has released four consecutive albums to top the Billboard Country albums chart and earned a whole new legion of fans.

In 2014, Rucker won his third career Grammy award for best solo country performance for his triple platinum-selling cover of Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel," off his album, True Believers. Rucker's first two country albums netted five No. 1 singles including "Come Back Song," "This," "Alright," "It Won't Be Like This for Long" and "Don't Think I Don't Think About It." His current single, "If I Told You," is currently climbing the country charts.
