OFFSTAGE: No Hillbilly Hand Fishin' for Justin Moore

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

When Justin Moore has a little down time, he likes to watch some TV on his tour bus. But only sports. ESPN, hunting shows, fishing and maybe an occasional Celebrity Apprentice episode. But no other reality shows. "I despise American Idol. Hate it. It has nothing to do with anybody that's on the show. I just can't stand the show in general. I just despise reality TV. Doesn't matter what it is," he said during a radio interview this morning on WUSN-FM/Chicago. "I can't even imagine being a Kardashian." Then when the DJ asks Moore if he's ever done the kind of "hillbilly handfishin'" featured the new Animal Planet show of the same name, Moore said he's seen the show but can't ever give it a try. "I play guitar for a living, so if I get something, you know, bit off, it ain't gonna be good," he said of the sport that has people trying to catch catfish with their bare hands (and feet) in lakes, river and streams.
