Zach Bryan Releases Surprise Live Album

Zach Bryan's "“All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live from Red Rocks)" is out now.

This week, Zach Bryan stunned his fans when he released a surprise live album, “All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live from Red Rocks),” over Christmas weekend.

The album includes more than 20 songs and makes good on a promise that Bryan made earlier this year and then restated from the stage at Red Rocks near Denver, Colorado, in November. The name comes from a Tweet he issued the same month.

He wrote: “I’m fully aware of the Ticketmaster and Live Nation relationship. All my decisions — moving forward — will reflect this, and until there is a serious change in the system, all my homies will continue to hate Ticketmaster. (Last thing I say on the matter.) Sorry for being annoying.”

Bryan has been vocal about his ire for Ticketmaster, particularly after waiting seven hours with his girlfriend to get tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour only to come up empty-handed. He doubled down on his stance as he released his live album.

“Seems there is a massive issue with fair ticket prices to live shows lately,” Bryan tweeted. “I have met kids at my shows who have paid upwards of four-hundred bucks to be there, and I’m done with it. I’ve decided to play a limited number of headline shows next year, to which I’ve done all I can to make prices as cheap as possible and to prove to people tickets don’t have to cost $450 to see a good and honest show. To clarify, I am playing a few festivals which I have no control over.”

Bryan said he believed that working-class people should be able to afford tickets to shows and asked them to sign up at a link in his bio for more information.

“I am so tired of people saying things can’t be done about this massive issue while huge monopolies sit there stealing money from working-class people,” he continued. “Also, to any songwriter trying to make ‘relatable music for the working class man or woman”’ should pride themselves on fighting for the people who listen to the words they’re singing. A tour announcement is coming soon, and I’m sorry it has taken so long. Just did everything I possibly could to make tickets more affordable.”

The former Marine never mentioned Ticketmaster in the most recent social media post.

The new album isn’t the only excitement Bryan has had this Christmas. In addition to releasing it and teasing a tour, President Barack Obama named Bryan to his list of favorite music in 2022.

In addition to Bryan’s “Something in the Orange,” the list includes Lizzo, Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce and more. While the singer was honored to be on the list, he still wanted to turn attention back to Ticketmaster.

“With all due respect prior president Barack Obama we should try and fix Ticketmaster respectfully,” he wrote.

Fans can listen to “All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live from Red Rocks)” now.
