Hockey just got so much more interesting. Now that Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fisher is being traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators, everyone is asking all kinds of questions. And the most idiotic one: Is this all Underwood's fault? It's absurd. Do you think anyone would blame Fisher if Underwood worked in an industry where record labels routinely and openly traded their artists? I doubt it. Because business has nothing to do with romance. But yesterday's Ottawa Citizen has a lengthy piece dissecting Underwood's "front" about living up there, and had this to say about how the Canadians should've seen this coming: "Any student of history knows that when a Canadian hockey player marries a blond American, a trade south of the border can't be far behind (yes, we're looking at you, Wayne and Janet Gretzky)." So now it's because she's blond? Come on, Canada. Trading is part of playing. Get over it. Nashville will be good to your beloved Fisher, so you can stop blaming our beloved Underwood.
