Chris Young and Lee Brice Launching Tour

Roadwork With Brad Paisley Inspired the Pairing

I guess we should thank Brad Paisley for this pairing. Lee Brice and Chris Young will hit the road together next week to co-headline a big tour.

It sounds like their adventure on a previous Paisley tour brought them together and gave birth to such a fantastic idea.

In 2013, the two joined Paisley’s Beat This Summer tour as openers, and Young admitted it was an amazing experience.

“Lee and I had a blast last year when we were out with Brad,” he said. “And so we thought it would be great to join up for a co-headlining tour for our fans this winter.”

It’s definitely a great musical pairing, for sure. Every time I hear Young’s latest “Lonely Eyes,” I hear that soulful quality that makes him a standout artist. And let’s face it, if you’ve ever heard Brice live, you too probably found yourself wondering if the “I Don’t Dance” singer was just a straight-up soul singer period.

These boys have chops.

And obviously, the behind-the-scenes, offstage hang time and shenanigans will likely be just as amazing as the music itself.

“Chris and I have been talking about touring together again for a while,” Brice said. “We have a lot of fun together.”

The Brothers Osborne will join the guys for select dates on the tour which kicks off Thursday (Jan. 22) in Syracuse, New York, and will take the boys across the mainland before wrapping up in … wait for it … Honolulu.

C’mon now, y’all. Admit it. You planned it that way, didn’t you?
