Hall of Fame Reaches DVD Release Agreement

Shout! Factory, a California company, has reached an agreement with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to create DVD collections culled from multiple broadcast and cable television shows archived in the museum. In addition to individual DVDs representing some of country's top artists, other products will include broadcast specials. A company representative said a release schedule and early release titles will likely come in November. Shout! Factory has released country CDs in the past, such as Solomon Burke's Nashville, Jessi Colter's Out of the Ashes, David Allan Coe's Penitentiary Blues, John Prine Live on Soundstage 1980 and The Legends of Country boxed set. In October, the company will release Shakespeare Was a Big George Jones Fan, a collection of home movies from Cowboy Jack Clement, a former artist-in-residence at the museum.
