Among the Top 100: Shelby Lynne, I Am Shelby Lynne (No. 5); Steve Earle, Transcendental Blues (No. 13); Ryan Adams, Heartbreaker (No. 26); Merle Haggard, If I Could Only Fly (No. 31); Neko Case & Her Boyfriends, Furnace Room Lullaby (No. 36); Johnny Cash, American III: Solitary Man (No. 45); Emmylou Harris, Red Dirt Girl (No. 47); Kasey Chambers, The Captain (No. 74); Jimmie Dale Gilmore, One Endless Night (No. 85); Allison Moorer, The Hardest Part (No. 86); and the soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou? (No. 96). Stankonia, by Atlanta rap group Outkast, was voted best album of 2000.
