Catching Up With Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs

'I Love Kellie Pickler' Season 2 Premieres August 25

It's been over nine months since Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs first graced our screens on Season 1 of I Love Kellie Pickler, and our lives have never been the same. They welcomed us into their crazy, hilarious home, introduced us to their amazing friends and made us feel like we were part of the family.

As our favorite couple preps for the premiere of Season 2, we chatted with them about their favorite memories from last season and what we have to look forward to this time around.

Looking back on Season 1, what was it like to open up your home and let your fans in to your life like that?

Kellie: The world was introduced to me and my story on reality TV, on American Idol, and a lot of people related to it, I think. So opening our home up wasn't much different. Of course, you set boundaries and there are things that you have to keep private, but there are things that are great and fun to share with the world, too. We have fun, we have great people in our lives, we laugh, we love and we have a good time, so it was neat to share that with the world.

Kyle: Absolutely.

Between American Idol and Dancing With The Stars, you're no stranger to being on camera, Kellie. But for you, Kyle, this was a whole new world. Was it a hard adjustment to make?

Kyle: I'm used to being behind the scenes. As a songwriter and a producer, I'm not on the big stage like Kellie has been for so many years. So, this was a little tricky for me to have a camera in front of my face.

Kellie: You did great, babe.

Kyle: Well, thanks! But what made it easy is that we were just us. That's what we wanted to accomplish, so it wasn't too hard.

Do you guys have any favorite memories from Season 1?

Kellie: One of my favorite moments was definitely Andi on the roller coaster. It just makes me laugh every time I see it.

Kyle: She was screaming bloody murder!

Kellie: But she faced her fears. I was proud of her.

Did you guys have any traditions for watching the show when it came on?

Kellie: I was touring a lot during last season, so we would watch it on the bus. But if we were home, we would have our Hillbilly Supper Club parties, our friends would come over, Ken would cook, and we would just party, have fun and watch the show and laugh at ourselves.

What can fans look forward to in Season 2?

Kyle: We did a lot of awesome things in Season 2.

Kellie: We got to mark a lot off our bucket list. We've always wanted to travel the world and see new places, so going to Tokyo, Japan, was a big thing for us.

Kyle: We went skydiving

Kellie: And did Family Feud!

Kyle: Steve Harvey is one of the best guys on the planet.

Kellie: And we won $25,000 for the USO. So that's always a plus.

Kyle: And we met Chris Kyle's family.

Kellie: That was one of the most sentimental, memorable moments from this season. I'll never forget it.

Kyle: And I'll never forget you bungee jumping.

Kellie: I'll never forget it either, unfortunately. It was terrifying. It was the worst thing I've ever done in my life.

Kyle: But it was a "Surprise Sunday!"

We heard that we will be seeing more of your families on the new season.

Kyle: We definitely have some more family involved this season.

Kellie: We do! Kyle's family just moved to Nashville from Minnesota.

Kyle: It was a big transition for them, but they are loving it. We also have Kellie's sister.

Kellie: Yes, my sister, my brother in law and my little 3-year-old niece. She's a cutie, I think she's going to steal Season 2.

Musically speaking, do either of you have anything coming out that fans should keep an ear out for?

Kellie: We just went in the studio and recorded a new Christmas song for my Selma Drye interior line.

Kyle: It's going to be beautiful. She sang so well.

Kellie: And you've been working with Lee Brice in the studio.

Kyle: Yeah, we're going to have a new album coming out soon. It's going to be one of my favorites.

Will there be any musical moments in Season 2?

Kellie: We perform at the Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit. And we go to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital at the Ryan Seacrest Studio to perform for the kids and their families. We did that with Ken and Andi -- or "Huck and Lily," as they go by. They have a great children's record, and we got to sing those songs for the kids.

Kyle: It was a sweet, beautiful, awesome, fun moment. I'll never forget it.
