Premiere: King Calaway Pulls Back Curtain on Tour Life with Video for "I'm Feelin' Good (Steve Miller Band)"

“This song fits very well in a live setting, so we thought it would be perfect to film it while we were doing these shows with Dustin (Lynch)."

King Calaway is responsible for some of country music’s most compelling lyrics and infectious melodies and their new song "I'm Feelin' Good (Steve Miller Band)" takes singalong to a whole new level.

Written by Chris Stevens, Neil Thrasher and Wendell Mobley and produced by Zac Brown, "I'm Feelin' Good (Steve Miller Band)" is about loving who you are with and where you are in life. Ben Smallbone and Andrea Royer took the video to the next level with their expert eye and camera work, which makes viewers feel like they are riding along with the boys in the band and getting ready to join them on stage.

“This song fits very well in a live setting, so we thought it would be perfect to film it while we were doing these shows with Dustin (Lynch),” the band said. “We knew the crowds were going to be insane, and they would be very much into it. We just have a blast playing this song live and we feel like you get that feeling from watching the video.”

The group’s favorite memory from filming the video was having the audience sing the lyrics to “I'm Feelin' Good” over and over again.

“There was just so much energy when they found out we were filming a music video and it was so exciting,” the group explained.

When members saw the completed music video for the first time, they described it as “thrilling.”

“Just seeing how into it everyone was (amazing),” they said. “Sometimes when you're on stage with all of the lights and tricks (it’s hard to see the crowd), so to see everyone really engaged and loving the song was really special.”

King Calaway hopes fans feel the same excitement watching the video that members and the audience felt while making it. They also hope it makes people want to come see their concerts.

“They can see a real taste of the energy we bring to the stage and the kind of fun we have at our shows,” they said.

King Calaway hit the country music scene in 2019 with their debut album “Rivers.” Their 2021 EP steered them away from a poppier sound and into a more organic, edgy California country space. The group recently toured with Blanco Brown and Dustin Lynch and has teamed with Zac Brown, with whom they are preparing to tour.
