Reba, Brooks & Dunn Confirm Las Vegas Shows
Reba Mcentire and a reunited Brooks & Dunn will team up for a residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace next year. The artists announced the shows in person at a press conference in Las Vegas on Wednesday (Dec. 3).
The first show will take place on select dates between June 24 through July 4 and then on select dates between Dec. 2 and Dec. 12.
McEntire and Brooks & Dunn have maintained a friendship for more than two decades now. In 1998, they charted a two-week No. 1 single, “If You See Him/If You See Her.”
In 2009, their duet version of “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” climbed to No. 2 on Billboard’s country airplay chart.
McEntire was on hand to sing “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” at Brooks & Dunn’s final show of their Last Rodeo tour in Nashville in September 2010. The duo had announced their farewell tour a year earlier.
Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks both went on to make solo albums, although neither matched the commercial success of their work in Brooks & Dunn. Last week, Dunn hinted that something was in the works, tweeting, “.... talking to Kix He's talkin' back.”
McEntire and Dunn are both new additions to the Nash Icon Music label.
In related news, Shania Twain, one of the Colosseum’s current headliners, will conclude her two-year run on Dec. 13. The venue’s roster also features Celine Dion and Rod Stewart.
