OFFSTAGE: Taylor Swift Plucks Ukulele in Singapore

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Playing a sold-out show almost 10,000 miles from Nashville is a really, really big deal. But I see the little things, too. Like how Taylor Swift was playing a ukulele onstage at her Wednesday night (Feb. 9) concert in Singapore. When she was younger, she learned to play guitar on a 12-string. Then somewhere along the way she learned to play a six-string, then the piano, and now this. Will she pull a banjo, squeeze box and/or harmonica out of her bag of tricks over the course of the next 90 shows she's set to play? And knowing Swift, she probably also taught herself enough Mandarin to say "ni hao" (hello), "zai jian" (goodbye) and a whole lot of "xie xie" (thank you) while she was there, before she left for South Korea, where she will perform on Friday (Feb. 11).
