Jim Lauderdale on Vocal Rest, Cancels June Dates
Singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale has canceled his concert dates in June after his doctor has placed him on strict vocal rest. He had been scheduled to perform three dates in Calgary, Alberta, as well as Richmond, Va., Eden, N.C., and Millville, N.J. Lauderdale has won two Grammys for bluegrass album of the year -- Lost in the Lonesome Pines (with Ralph Stanley) and The Bluegrass Diaries. He is still scheduled to perform at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on July 17 with the family bluegrass band, Cherryholmes.
