Paisley Hauls Friends Into 'Mud'

Brad Paisley’s new album, Mud on the Tires, includes guest appearances by two noted actors and several Grand Ole Opry members. Actor Jim Belushi, who is featured in Paisley’s “Celebrity” video, and Dan Aykroyd appear on the song, “That’s Love.” Alison Krauss and Paisley sing a duet on "Whiskey Lullaby,” featuring Dan Tyminski on background vocals. Vince Gill provides background vocals on “Farther Along” and “Hold Me in Your Arms (And Let Me Fall).” One of the more intriguing tracks is “Spaghetti Western Swing,” described as “old-time radio-theater fun.” With performances by Bill Anderson, Little Jimmy Dickens and George Jones, the track also finds Paisley trading Telecaster guitar riffs with former Merle Haggard sideman Redd Volkaert. Mud on the Tires, featuring 16 tracks and a hidden bonus track, is set for July 22 release. 07/09/03
