Garth Brooks’ Hit No. 1 in U.K.

A former boy band member has debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart with Garth Brooks’ 1989 hit, “If Tomorrow Never Comes.” Ronan Keating, once the lead singer for Boyzone, also scored an earlier No. 1 hit with “When You Say Nothing at All,” taken from an album which also includes covers of Collin Raye’s “In This Life” and Alabama’s “Once Upon a Lifetime.” Keating also co-wrote Brooks & Dunn’s hit “The Long Goodbye.” 5/20/02
