New Releases: Reba, LeAnn, Hank Jr.

Three familiar names — Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes and Hank Williams Jr. — lead country music’s new releases this week. McEntire’s Room to Breathe (MCA Nashville), her first studio album in four years, features the feisty hit “I’m Gonna Take That Mountain,” as well as several tearjerkers that recall her hits from the early ’90s. Rimes’ Greatest Hits (To Be Continued) (Curb) offers “Blue,” “How Do I Live” and three new recordings. Williams’ I’m One of You (Asylum/Curb) includes remakes of Jerry Reed’s “Amos Moses,” Joe South’s “Games People Play” and his father’s classic “Jambalaya.” Williams also added a self-written tribute to his friend, titled “Waylon’s Guitar.” 11/18/03
