Mark Wills Exits Mercury Records

Mark Wills has parted company with Mercury Records, a label spokesperson confirmed Wednesday (Feb. 25). Wills' debut single, "Jacob's Ladder," reached the country Top 10 in 1996. His other Top 10 hits include "I Do (Cherish You)," "Don't Laugh at Me," "She's in Love," "Back at One" and "Places I've Never Been." In 1999, he hit No. 1 with "Wish You Were Here." Ironically, Wills' "19 Something" was named the most-played country single of 2003 by trade publication Radio & Records. Wills' latest album, And the Crowd Goes Wild, was released in October 2003.
