Honky-tonk band BR549 released the album Dog Days on Tuesday (Jan. 10) on Dualtone Records. It was produced by John Keane, best known for his work with R.E.M., Indigo Girls, Uncle Tupelo and the Cowboy Junkies. Following some personnel changes, the band roster now includes singer-guitarist Chuck Mead, multi-instrumentalist Don Herron, drummer-vocalist Shaw Wilson and new bassist Mark Miller. They are currently on a nationwide tour with the Avett Brothers.
